What this can and can't show you
I can only photograph what's visible from the air, so this doesn't replace a roofer's hands-on inspection or a building survey.
What it can show
- The roof from above, photographed in a set pattern
- Visible problems like slipped or missing tiles, moss or lifted flashing
- Chimneys, gutters, ridges, dormers and roof windows
- Close-up detail on anything worth a second look
What it can't show
- Anything under the roof surface, including the loft and timbers
- For certain whether, or where, water is getting in
- Whether tiles, slates and flashing are firmly fixed
- Parts hidden from above, such as under trees or solar panels
- What repairs are needed, or what they'd cost

About this service
A roof survey gives you a clear, documented view of a roof’s condition without anyone needing to get on a ladder or scaffold. The drone flies a set pattern over the whole roof, then captures closer detail on anything worth a second look — missing tiles, moss buildup, flashing wear, and similar issues.
You get back an annotated report: each finding marked directly on the image, with a short note explaining what it is. It’s built to be useful on its own or as evidence for a roofer’s quote.
Common questions
Anything else? Ask when you request a quote, or see the full FAQ.
- How long does a roof survey take on site?
- Usually 30–60 minutes. Larger houses take longer.
- What happens if the weather's bad on the day?
- Flights only happen when it's safe to fly. If the weather doesn't allow it, we'll rearrange for the next suitable day at no extra cost.
